The Palau Lo Mirador is named thusly because historically, it was the most elevated point in the town, from where all the activity of the current Empordà plain could be observed and protected. Today, from the rooms, all of which are furnished with the utmost elegance and comfort, one can still admire the beauty of the Palace gardens or the wonderful views afforded of the town of Torroella de Montgrí. El Palau Lo Mirador rep aquest nom perquè històricament era el punt més enlairat del poble, des d’on es podia observar i vigilar tota la plana de l’actual Empordà. Avui en dia, des de les habitacions, totes elles equipades amb la màxima elegància i confort, encara es pot admirar la bellesa dels jardins del Palau o les meravelloses vistes que ofereix la població de Torroella de Montgrí.
